Freedom Of Speech has a lot of questions:

What happen to Mayor England's "big run" for State Representative?

He bragged everywhere that his survey results were GREAT in support of him as a candidate for State Representative.

Does Gibson intend to keep on drawing his $150,000 salary from our city while he is out campaigning?

We can't figure out statements made in the New Albany Tribune:

Quote: April 7, 2009

"He continued that his $150,000 annual salary did not bring an additional amount from the general fund and the remainder came from various departments he represents, including the Stormwater and Sewer Utilities.

Garry said by hiring Gibson full-time, the city was able to cut out three of the four previous attorneys representing the stormwater and sewer departments."

Quote: Oct. 2, 2009.

"Lee Buchanan, the Sewer Board's attorney, said funds are running low..."

How many attorneys is the sewer board paying?

Is THIS the reason for a sewer rate increase?

What qualifies him to run for State Representative?

Our final thoughts:

We as Democrats "can not" and "will not" support Shane L. Gibson for State Representative. We will all cross party lines and support a qualified candidate Ed Clere, like many other local democrats.

It is our opinion:

"Hell will freeze over, before Shane L. Gibson, gets any of our VOTES!"

Freedom Of Speech Staff proudly Supports Ed Clere for State Representative in 2010.
