President Barack Obama is set to meet with Senator Evan Bayh today one-on-one in the Oval Office.
Bayh, who is the member of the Senate Armed Services and Selective Intelligence Committee, is a key lawmaker on the topic of Afghanistan.

The second-term senator has called on commanding General Stanley McChrystal, who recently requested more troops be sent to Afghanistan, to speak before the Senate.
